Changes to StockCentral data for Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs)

As you may know, Funds From Operations (FFO) per share is preferred over Earnings Per Share (EPS) when analyzing the fundamentals and financial statements of a REIT. FFO is a non-GAAP measure but is commonly used in REIT analysis and is generally considered a better way to understand a REIT's financial position.
To that end, we are pleased to announce that as of June 3, 2024, StockCentral has replaced all Net Income and EPS-based data with the REIT company's As-Reported Funds from Operations (FFO) and Funds from Operations per Share (FFO/S) data. In company reports, portfolio reports, and screening tools throughout the site (not just in the StockCentral REIT Center):
- Funds from Operations (FFO) replaces Net Income for all Annual and Quarterly data.
- Funds from Operations per Share (FFO/S) replaces Earnings Per Share (EPS) for all Annual and Quarterly Data and wherever EPS is used for other calculations.
- Price divided by FFO/S replaces Price-to-Earnings (P/E) ratios and where P/E is used for other calculations.
- Dividend Payout Ratios is calculated by comparing dividends to FFO/S.
- Return on Equity (ROE) is calculated by comparing FFO earned in a year to the company's total equity.
Please note that the data labels will remain as Net Income, EPS, and P/E. However, the underlying data will be replaced with FFO and FFO/S data.
We believe that this change will provide a more accurate and comprehensive understanding of REITs and their financial positions. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us let us know.
