Joe, since Stock Discussion entries will grow, wouldn't it be better to list the other forum categories first, then start the stock entries?

Joe,
I think lots of folks will miss the forums listed after all the stocks. Have to go from A through Z stocks before getting to the other goodies. Can the stocks be collapsed and have links to get to the different alphabetical groups?
Thanks for all of your hard work on this.

Yes, you can collapse an entire forum group by clicking the "double up-arrow" at the right end of one of the wide horizontal blue bars.

I agree with Gene.  We would better served by having the stock sections after the other forums.  I closed the connection after I collapsed all the stock forums and it stayed that way.  But I think ti will be better for newcomers if they are collapsed upon their initial visit.  Also, while I love the tools in the posting window, is it possible to have them on two lines?  I'm not crazy about having LONG strings of text that I have to scroll left-to-right to read.  Thanks!  Lynn

I'm thinking of putting the ticker forums on a separate page, or perhaps four separate pages. What do you folks think abou that.

It looks, though, as if you've discovered that the expand/collapse buttons stick from session to session.

I've already fixed the toolbar on one forum. Now I need to migrate it to all of the forums. That won't be a problem once I do it.
OK ... the editor's Toolbar is on two lines now.

Joe,

Can you put a-z letters above the ticker topic sort of like the investorwords site?

That's a possibility. It's probably a longer term (month or two) item.

Well ... maybe not so long term at all.  Let your mouse hover over "community" in the main menu, then down to "stocks by ticker" and you can see the kind of structure that I can set up.  What do you think of that?

Oh, and I can also put the letters across the top ... let me try some of that now ...

... time passes ...

There are now several prototype forum navigation thingies visible ... and some of them work.  Tomorrow I'll do the thing where I can make a single forum group appear on a page and then finish off the a b c ... etc. pages and you can tell me what you think of those.

How come Gene doesn't have little green dots over her head?

And how come I'm trying to grow mine?

Say I submit a message but forgot to check the "email me" box.  Is there a way to go back and check it?

Oops, that message went out twice for some reason... which reminds me.  Is there a way to delete or edit a message already posted?

Never mind.  I see that after I post the message I'm taken back to the complete thread where there is an email check box at the top of the screen.

You can go back and "subscribe" to a thread, yes.

I can edit and delete posts as an administrator.  I'll see if I can turn on an option so that you can edit your own posts.  If not, I'll see if the developers would do that ...

Yeah, how come Gene doesn't have green thingies over her?        Gene

Incidentally, it does take a little longer than I feel it should for the reply field to be ready for an answer, due to importing all the editing and smiley options.
