When requesting the TSSWS for a particular company, it would be advantageous if the industry would be listed as the SSG does. Although, it is not impossible to find, it does take a little extra time to research what industry SC has the company listed under.

Thanks for the feeback Marty! We agree this would be useful and have filed a change request. We propose to add the industry category to the TSSW Front, right at the top, where co. name, ticker etc. are found, as well as add it on the main (first) page of TS that you see after entering a ticker, in the row with the co. name, ticker, mood etc. I'll post here as soon as it is implemented.

I recommend that the TSSW show the final EPS growth rate.
Page one shows the initial EPS growth rate which can go down if the business model EPS (in dollars) is lower. However, when that happens, the final EPS rate is never specified.

Hi Armin,
Great catch! You are correct, i now understand the issue after a bit of research (read: help from Ellis:) and note that, for e.g. ticker BBBY, using online take stock, the Forecast growth mode EPS (found at bottom of TSSW front) is higher (3.49) than the Business Model EPS (3.37), thus triggering the program to use the more conservative of the two (3.37) in relevant calculations. Using the value of 3.37 for Forecast EPS would produce a % growth rate of 11.9, which should be displayed on TSSW Front Growth Stat% box. Currently it displays 12.7, which is using the 3.49 value for forecast EPS, which is incorrect.
I have filed a bug in this regard. Please let me know if we have interpreted you comments correctly or have any questions/additional info etc, thanks!

The TSSW front, as well as any page within TS Online now contains the industry information. Please let us know if you note any issues, thanks!

Dave:
Just to be clear, I am recommending that Take Stock continue to show its initial forecast EPS growth rate (where it now does) and add its final EPS growth rate….probably best at the bottom right of the TSSW front page, bottom right, next to its final EPS in dollars.
In the BBBY example you used, 12.7% would be shown as the initial forecast EPS growth rate and, in addition, 11.9% would also be shown as the final EPS growth rate.

Hi Armin,
>I am recommending that Take Stock continue to show its initial forecast EPS growth rate (where it now does) and add its final EPS growth rateā¦.probably best at the bottom right of the TSSW front page, bottom right, next to its final EPS in dollars. Indeed this is what we've come up with as the best solution as well! Thanks to the help of Ellis, and the V8 power and speed of "Mustang" Sally An, the change has been implemented. Please let us know if you note any errors, thanks!

Back to Marty's start to this thread, a link to the Industrial Averages from ICLUB at http://www.iclub.com/inv..._watch_list_industry.asp would be helpful. NAICspace.org has had a link to this resource now for several years and we teach folks to use it. It is my hope that this resource will be maintained. |

The industry averages not only will be maintained, I suspect that they will be improved! |
