For those of you with so much more experience, what am I doing wrong?  I selected an industry, put following criteria:

% growth EPS -= 15 minimum

% growth sales - 15 minimum

Relative value - 80 minimum and 110 maximum

Take Stock Quality  Acceptable minimum

                                   Desireable maximum

ROE  - even - minimum and up maximum

PTP  - even minimum and up maximum

EPS Rsquared - minimum 90

I get absolutely no companies and I tried about 20 industries.

I ran the screen without selecting any industry and only 17 companies pass your screen in total! With about 150 industry groups in total, you might have to try lots of them before you find any stocks that way. Your criteria are quite stringent, so loosening them up might find some other candidates for study within an industry.

Also, remember that growth rates relate to company size, so specifying a minimum of 15% growth will tend to produce younger, smaller companies that, in term, don't have as consistent histories as other more established companies, so your R2 requirement might not fit.

There's also some overlap in your criteria -- the Take Stock Quality rating includes elements of EPS  R2 and PTP trend -- so you might try using either the TS Quality Rating OR the other quality indicators, not both together.

Also, a couple of tips. You don't need to specify maximums (or minimums) when they are at the top (or bottom) of the available ranges. In other words, when you select ROE trend at minimum of being even, you don't need to select Up as the maximum. And if you find screens that don't give you any results, try using fewer criteria or being less restrictive, building up your screens one criteria by one until you get a reasonable number of candidates.
