TO ARMS!!! TO ARMS!!!
STOCKCENTRAL CALLS FOR MINUTEMEN
This reporter is renowned for keeping his ear to the cobblestones, and can easily recognize the tell-tale pitter-patter of opportunity as it strides confidently in approach. And so this snippet of information is passed along to you, dear readers -- StockCentral is looking for volunteers.
Yes, the newest guild on the square will be the aforementioned StockCentral Street Team, sure to be a motley collection of rogues, knaves, and insouciant popinjays. Certainly, there is no shortage of adequate recruits within the StockCentral Community.
Sources claim that the Street Team will be charged with taking StockCentral's message to, well, the streets (with sources as daft as these, it's a wonder that this reporter is still employed). Irregardless, Street Team members will be volunteering their time and exceptional energies to help educate the great unwashed about fundamental investing and the tools available within the <script type="text/javascript"></script> StockCentral Community.
Are you such an individual? Do you have the intestinal fortitude necessary to answer the call to arms? If you are pure of heart, strong of spirit, and devoted to investor education, send an email to streetteam@iclub.com.
READING IS FUN-DAMENTAL
NEW BOOKSTORE UNVEILED
Finally, there's a portal for the financial literati of StockCentral. You'll notice a new tab when you log in, cleverly named "bookstore." Through the wonders of modern times (and with a little help from Amazon), StockCentral is now able to offer members a place to purchase their favourite investing tomes.
The bookstore is broken down into categories, which are listed on the left hand panel allowing any bibliophile to easily browse through the offerings. Sort through for titles dealing with Stocks, Mutual Funds, Investment Clubs, or Investing for Beginners. Browse the novellas of Famous Investors. Peruse guides for Estate Planning or Personal Finance. Need a subscription to a financial periodical? Acquire popular dailies like <script type="text/javascript"></script> The Wall Street Journal or The Financial Times, or perhaps pursue a dalliance with a coy monthly, such as Forbes or Fortune.
What's more, the bookstore will constantly be updated with recommendations from the StockCentral Community. Has the printed page changed your investing outlook? Share your experience and suggest a title for inclusion in the bookstore.

TIGHTER INTEGRATION WITH TOOLKIT 5
Are you using StockCentral Data in your copy of Investor's Toolkit 5? You're getting it for free, for crying out loud, so you really ought -- it's decidedly unwise to look a gift horse in the mouth. (This reporter did once, and look where he ended up.) Instructions can be found under the "Data" category in the <script type="text/javascript"></script> FAQ section.
However, there's yet another way to improve Toolkit by using StockCentral. The following note was hastily scrawled on a bar napkin, clandestinely served alongside this reporter's latest mid-morning pint:
"If you use Investor's Toolkit, here's how to quickly link to StockCentral.com to get additional information for a stock that you're studying.
"Here's what you do: In Investor's Toolkit 5, before opening any SSGs, click the Web button on the main toolbar and select Manage Web Links, then click the Favorites tab. Click the Add button, and then enter the following:
-
In the Name field, enter: *StockCentral.com (Leave the asterisk at the beginning of the name. Leave the Ticker field blank.)
-
In the URL field, enter:
http://www.stockcentral.com/stocks/$*/default.aspx
"Click OK to close the data entry box, then click OK to close the Internet Access dialog box.
"Now, open an SSG and click the Internet button in the SSG toolbar (right above the SSG), and select the StockCentral option. You'll be taken to the StockCentral web site already loaded with that company's information. You may be prompted to log in to access any of the other data on the site.
"Users of Stock Analyst or Classic Plus can also add the link to the Internet Favorites in their software too. Use the same instructions, just enter the following URL instead: <script type="text/javascript"></script> http://www.stockcentral.com/stocks//default.aspx"
The astounding result is a direct link to one of the new Stock Pages at StockCentral from your analysis software. Discuss this and other new StockCentral features in The Toolshed.
