Banks are often considered good investments in times of rising interest rates. The spread between their cost of money and the interest they can charge can increase during such times. One should consider the threat of recession as this would decrease demand for loans. Attached are Stock Selection Guides for 5 small and medium sized regional banks. In addition, there is a Stock Comparison Guide of the 5 banks. The banks studied are Western Alliance Bancorp (WAL), Glacier Bancorp (GBCI), Summit Financial Group, Inc (SUMMF), SouthState Corporation (SSB), and SVB Financial (SIVB). The analysis and judgment for these studies are those of the author and do not represent the opinion of ICLUBcentral. These studies are offered as ideas for further study by the reader and as educational tools. ICLUBcentral always urges investors to do their own analysis and use their own judgement. No investment recommendation is intended as investment decisions involve personal issues the author and ICLUBcentral cannot know. Holding disclosure: The author currently has an interest in WAL. In the past he has held both SSB and SIVB but has no position in those companies now. Russell Malley Compare 5 Regional Bank.pdf (264kb) downloaded 22 time(s).
