The ICLUBcentral support team has received several inquiries about price information on certain stocks not being updated on the main Accounting page of myICLUB.com. The reason was these particular stocks traded on the Pink Sheets rather than on major exchanges. The price database used by myICLUB.com does not include Pink Sheet listed stocks. The ticker symbols for Pink Sheet listed companies will not be recognized by myICLUB.com. The price for these companies on the main Accounting page will update only when a valuation is entered.
When entering a valuation, these stocks also will not be recognized and the valuation price download will assign a price of zero to Pink Sheet listed companies. Prices for these stocks will need to be hand typed into the price field to be sure a price is entered for the valuation. Some popular stock price web sites, such as BigCharts, also do not include Pink Sheet listed stocks. One site that does include the Pink Sheets is Yahoo Finance.
A club can help their treasurer by avoiding stocks listed only on the Pink Sheets. Sometimes, this is unavoidable as the club receives a Pink Sheet listed stock as part of a spinoff or other corporate transaction.
