Rounds 1 & 2:
Register Here Free Round 3:
Register Here $10Round 1: Basic Stock Analysis – Saturday, October 24, 9:00 to 11:30 am, PDT (All Levels) No Charge
Join us as we explain what BetterInvesting’s Stock Selection Guide (SSG) is and why investors use it to find good quality, reasonably priced growth stocks. We won’t be completing an SSG. That comes in Round 2. But we will fully explain all parts of the SSG and how they “hang together.” If you are new to investing or looking for a refresher about the SSG, this class is for you. While the information is still fresh, join Round 2 the following Thursday. Use the same login.
Round 2: SSG Stock Study of Synnex (SNX) – Thursday, October 29, 6:30 to 7:45 pm, PDT (All Levels) No Charge
This stock study of Synnex uses the online SSGPLUS software and audience participation to analyze the stock and complete a First Cut submission. SNX is a large Fremont, California company which sells outsourcing services and wholesale tech components to other businesses, primarily in the United States. We will poll the audience to complete the four judgment sections and record our findings on the First Cut form. After the class, the instructors will submit the First Cut for possible publication on the BI website. SNX is featured In the September issue of BetterInvesting Magazine (p. 25) and is covered by the Value Line Investment Survey. Looking to the Future, make the commitment to attend our November 7 event, too.
Round 3: Two investor-favorite topics by Doug Gerlach – Saturday, November 7, 9:00 to 11:30 am, PDT, $10 for both timely topics! Register Here
Become a Smarter Stock SellerKnowing when to sell is one of the toughest decisions an investor can make. Psychological and behavioral roadblocks prevent individuals from making cogent resolutions when it comes to selling stocks. But Doug Gerlach has ideas on how to improve your personal or club portfolio without getting stuck on "knowing when to sell." In this session, Doug will outline his strategy for continually optimizing and improving your stock portfolio, including how to identify candidates for replacement due to overvaluation, low potential return, or fundamental obstacles to future growth. You will receive tangible steps for a rational approach to portfolio management that will help you upgrade your portfolio right away.
Refocus on the "Growth" in Your Portfolio with Small & Midsized StocksIs the growth in your personal or club portfolio stalled? A growth stock strategy depends on capital appreciation for the greatest share of returns over time, which in turn is generated by the growth of each company's sales and earnings. However, too many investors who ascribe to the growth stock approach overweight their portfolios with slow-growth businesses and thus fail to perform as they hope. Small and midsized companies provide top opportunities to boost potential returns but can add additional volatility. Learn strategies for finding the best smaller companies suitable as long-term holdings and get some of Doug's best stock ideas for 2021 and beyond.
We look forward to seeing you at our 3-part fall event!
