On August 27, 2020 SunPower (SPWR) spun off Maxeon Solar (MAXN) as an independent company. SunPower shareholders received 0.125 MAXN shares for each SPWR share owned. The spinoff was structured to be tax-free to SPWR shareholders. Details for entering this transaction can be found on the ICLUBcentral web site at https://www.iclub.com/faq/Home/Article?id=679 .
