Why does the StockCentral or TakeStock data has only the GAAP data available?
Is it possible to have the non-GAAP data made available for use in the SSG and Toolkit-6 analyses?
GAAP data has one time adjustments such as 2017 Tax credit, any legal or Goodwill adjustments etc that are not relevant for use in the fundamental analyses of a stock.

The data used by TakeStock and StockCentral is from MorningStar. The ToolKit data download is also from MorningStar. StockCentral does not adjust this data. It is possible to add a source that does not include one time events (such as tax law changes) but this would add an expense for us that would probably need to be passed on to subscribers. You can find free access to such data and manually adjust the earnings in an SSG by using Value Line from a public library source. Many public libraries are including on-line access to Value Line for their patrons. Value Line reports earnings from operations and footnotes the non-recurring income/expense items. Checking earnings from operations will be a little more important recently as many companies had large gains or losses due to the change in value of tax credits or deferred tax liability due to the 2017 tax changes. I have been making this adjustment more frequently recently. I agree operating income is a better parameter for fundamental analysis. I would add one caveat, some companies have "non-recurring" events that are so frequent it may be prudent to consider them part of operating earnings.
