I'm sure I read that future plans for SC include the data feed that will be compatible with MAC? I can't find the post and want to recommend this site to my club tonight - many of whom are MAC users. Please help.
Thanks

Karen,

Our SSG data files are compatible with any software that can use them. That includes Mac users.

All that they need to do is go to the data page, enter a ticker into the box and click to download the file.

After downloading SSG files, they can start up their software and use the data.

Karen,

As the most stubborn Mac user on the ICLUBcentral team, I've been exploring different ways to run our Windows-based programs in OSX.

To simply view SSG files, including those generated here at StockCentral, you can use Churr Software's Stock Investment Guide. You can download the shareware version here, which you can upgrade to a fully functional version for $39.95. It's native to OSX, so you shouldn't have any problems.

However, if you want to run ICLUB products like Toolkit, Stock Analyst, CA 3.1, etc, you need to seek out some other options. If you've got one of the new Intel Macs, that is -- since the chip architecture is the same as most Windows PCs, the Intel Macs can emulate Windows and Windows programs. I'm currently testing out Parallels and CrossOver on my Intel MacBook, and I'll let you know how it goes.

I just purchased Toolkit 5. I have a PowerBook G4 which does not have the Pentium chip. My computer won't even open the downloaded software since I do not have Windows and cannot afford to buy it. Do I have any options that won't cost me more $???
Thanks, Jan Tolley

Hi, Jan!

While Toolkit won't run on Mac operating systems, the Stock Investment Guide software from Churr.com does, and it's a nice program.  It doesn't have the same feature set as Toolkit, but it's still recommended for Mac users.

And, for those who will be at InvestEd next weekend -- that's right ... ONE WEEK FROM TODAY -- will get to rub elbows with Brad Taylor, Mr. Churr himself.
