I am presenting Toolkit's Visual Analysis screen to my club. In my presentation, on the Additional Graph screen, I am comparing and showing where the data for the this screen originates. I can match/find all the Additional Trend lines to Morningstar's Annual financial statements except Toolkit's "Cash Flow/Share" trend line. Does Toolkit calculate this figure instead of pulling the data directly from Morningstar's financial statements? If so, what data does Toolkit use when calculating the "Cash Flow/Share" trend line? Could the answer be, the Cash flow/share is incorrectly showing the Price/Sales data, as I did find the matching number under Morningstar's Price/Sales figure.

Hello,

Thank you for posting to ask about this. The Cash Flow/Share data comes directly from the Morningstar data feed. If you're having trouble matching it up between their site and Toolkit, it's possible that the data file we have is using preliminary data published by the company. It shouldn't usually take more than a couple of days though from the time something is filed with the SEC, until it gets checked by Morningstar and added to the data we have for a company.
If you're looking at a particular company (or two, or three) where the data doesn't seem to be matching up, and it's more than a few days past when the company has posted results, reply back here; I can have our folks double-check and see what's going on.
