Hello,

I am a new member and may be overlooking some information within this site. I am currently working on an industry comparison for PEP (PepsiCo) and I have used several of the tools available, however, there are only a handful of industry averages listed. I am doing a complete analysis of the PepsiCo company and have very little data on averages to compare to. Is there another location that I should be looking in that I may have overlooked?

Thank You in Advance,

Nicole

What averages are you looking for? The Sector & Industry Average Browser on StockCentral displays what we consider to be key ratios for industry comparisons. While there are plenty of averages that you could compare, and there may be averages that are suitable for making comparisons within particular industries, the set that we utilize on StockCentral are those that are most valuable for our approach to investing.

You can find other industry average comparisons on MSN Money and Yahoo! Finance, and our Stock Prospector tool lets you calculate and compare industry averages for any of the 140+ fields used in the program.

Doug,

Thank you for your response. The main averages that I am interested in are: Gross, Operating, and Net Profit margins, Total Asset Turnover, Current Ratio, Debt to Total Assets, Fixed Charge Coverage, Days Payable Outstanding, Accounts Payable Turnover, Debt Ratio, Return on Assets, and the Financial Leverage averages.

As I have used these ratios with great success in the past, for the analysis of the financial health of several companies, I would like to continue to use them in addition to the key ratios provided by Stock Central. However, the averages I prefer to use have been difficult to locate. Would you be able to assist me further with the detailed information I have provided?

Nicole

Go to http://moneycentral.msn.com/, enter a ticker, select Key Ratios under Fundamental, then use the small navigation links across the top (GROWTH, PRICE RATIOS, PROFIT MGN, etc.) to drill down. I think they have all that you're looking for.

We have plans to add industry averages to our Ratio Analyzer, but that some time away.
