This comes up most often due to the age old problem of typos; whether it's a simple date change, or something a bit more involved, it's always good to know how to make a change when the occasion calls for it. This one is a bit long, since it covers both the Desktop, and Online accounting systems, but I think it's well worth it.
Club Accounting 3
There are a few steps for editing or removing a transaction from Club Accounting 3:
Before continuing, please note that Distributed Earnings, Beginning Balance and Member Withdrawal transactions cannot be edited; they must be removed and then re-entered.
Member transactions.
1. Click the MEMBERS heading on the left hand side of the Club Accounting window.
2. Click EDIT TRANSACTIONS under the Members heading.
3. If you are looking for a specific member's transaction, select their name from the drop-down list.
If the member was withdrawn from the club, remember to put a check-mark in the Show Inactives box before trying to select their name.
4. If the transaction was not in the last 12 months, make sure to adjust the start date to the time when the transaction happened.
5. Click OK to view all transactions fitting the selections you have made.
6. Double-clicking a transaction will take you to the editing page where changes can be made.
7. To remove a transaction, click once to select it, then click the DELETE SELECTED TRANSACTIONS button.
NOTE: If you are trying to remove a withdrawal, and the Type shows Withdrawal Paid, make sure to go back through the records and delete the Withdrawal announced/valued entry to actually remove the withdrawal
All other transactions.
1. Click the TRANSACTIONS heading on the left hand side of the Club Accounting window.
2. Find the transaction in the list
3. Double-clicking a transaction will take you to an editing page where changes can be made.
4. To remove a transaction, click once to select it, then click the DELETE SELECTED TRANSACTIONS button.
It is also possible to search for transactions more specifically with the following steps:
1. Click the TRANSACTIONS heading on the left hand side of the Club Accounting window.
2. Click SEARCH TRANSACTIONS under the Transactions heading.
3. If the transaction was not in the last 12 months, make sure to adjsut the start date to the time when the transaction happened.
4. If you want to limit the transactions to a specific account or security, choose one from the drop-down menu.
NOTE: If you are looking for a stock that has been sold off, remember to put a check-mark in the Show Inactives box before trying to select it.
5. Click OK to see the list of transactions.

8. To remove a transactions, click once to select it, then click the DELETE SELECTED TRANSACTIONS button.
Club Accounting Online
There are a few steps for editing or removing a transaction from Club Accounting Online:
1. Click the ACCOUNTING Tab near the top of the page.
2. From the accounting page, click the heading on the left hand side of the page for the type of transaction you're looking for (SECURITIES, MEMBERS, or CASH ACCOUNTS) to get to the portfolio or summary page.
3. On the portfolio or summary page, click the VIEW/EDIT TRANSACTIONS link on the left hand side of the page.
4. By default, the system will show the last twelve months of transactions. If you need to see a different range of dates, change the FROM date in the Show Transactions box, and click the SUBMIT button.
5. When you have the correct date range, click on the one or two word description of the transaction (Buy Security, Deposit Cash, Expense, for example) to be taken to the transaction description.
6. On the transaction description page, click DELETE, and then CONFIRM DELETE to remove a transaction, or Click EDIT, and then make changes if you only need to adjust a transaction.
Some transactions, such as member withdrawals and year end allocations can only be removed, not edited. If you need to re-do one of these transactions, we strongly suggest making a backup in the BACKUP MANAGER under UTILITIES before doing so.
