THE CURIOSITY EDITION
6 August 2009

SECURITY BREACH!
Reader Attempts to Procure Reporter's Secret Identity!

Your worldly reporter, who until this very day remained smugly confident that nothing under the full August moon could ruffle her feathers, did indeed pale when she received word of a security breach regarding her top-secret identity. Your reporter's heart beat wildly inside her chest as the alarms sounded and her highly-trained Security Detail rushed her to the underground bunker built for this most feared -- and until now, thought to be most unlikely -- of circumstances.

According to this reporter's most esteemed Security Detail, immediate and in-depth investigation of the ICLUBcentral servers revealed that the Gazette reader in question - whose intense curiosity nearly crashed the system - hails from New Mexico. "Having received your Stock Central Gazette for some time, I would love to know who writes the Gazette," the shameless infiltrator wrote. "Who is the mild-mannered reporter with the elephant-like memory? Are readers encouraged to comment, and will their comments be published?"

Though your reporter has been informed that it remains unlikely the paparazzi will learn her true identity as a result of this breach, she has taken to wearing dark glasses and dares approach her keyboard only in the dead of night. Still, she acknowledges that the price tag of fame was bound to rear its ugly head at some point and thus, after consulting with her team of advisers, has agreed to address reader questions and comments born of their natural curiosities.

Any and all comments and burning questions for your reporter may be submitted via the following super-encoded (read between the lines: do not attempt to trace. Repeat: Do Not Attempt to Trace) email addy: GazetteReporter@iclub.com. These writings may indeed be published in a future issue of the SC Gazette. Readers should consider themselves warned.

Onto this week's headlines...

Live From InvestEd!
Gurus Ellis Traub, Bob Adams to Broadcast Audio Blog

Speaking of burning questions, curious investors who find themselves someplace other than Salt Lake City, Utah this weekend needn't feel all is lost. Sage investment gurus Ellis Traub and Bob Adams will co-host an audio blog, Live from InvestEd, Saturday evening at 6:30 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time.

Not only are investors invited to call in with their questions, but Guru Adams will moderate discussions with attendees, who will share their InvestEd experiences and insights on a wide range of topics. For details, go to: www.blogtalkradio.com/Ellis-Traub.

For those of you this reporter most gently refers to as procrastinators, let it be known that she has once again interceded on your behalf. InvestEd registrations are not only still available, but they will be taken at the door.

Though the InvestEd Powers That Be pointedly encourage advance registration for this weekend's conference, they also disclosed to your trusty reporter that registrations will be accepted at the door.

SC FORUM SPARKS QUESTIONS
Future of East West Bancorp, Inc. Under Microscope

Despite recent events, your reporter is pleased by the admirable curiosity exhibited by SC members. "Robert why did you eliminate 2004-2007 in Section 2? 2008 seems to be an outlier year," writes SC Member Danny Matthews. "Right now I think there are too many negatives on this SSG to consider buying the stock."

"Sorry, my mistake in Section 2," Robert Brooker replies. "I should not have eliminated any of the years. My take on this stock is that it's a well-managed, stable company with a blowout year in 2008 and maybe 2009. My bet is that they get back to previous performance in some subsequent year."

What's your bet? To check out the rest of this discussion, prognosticate, and view Robert's SSG on the company, head to the SC Forum, pronto!

CHANGE IS IN THE WIND
ICLUBcentral, BI Merger Enters Next Phase

Though the teams at BetterInvesting and ICLUBcentral have been working in ninja-like fashion behind the scenes to ensure a seamless transition, there will be times when our loyal customers will need to be brought into the loop. Your most observant reporter is quite certain this is one of those times.

Though the ICLUBcentral Toll-Free Support telephone number (877-334-2582) will not change, local contact information, effective September 1, 2009, will be:

ICLUBcentral Inc.
711 W. 13 Mile Road
Madison Heights, MI 48071
Phone: 248-654-3100
Fax: 248-654-3101

The transition will also require a short period of downtime for the ICLUB servers. Let it be known across the land that the following ICLUB websites, data services and servers will have downtime from 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15:
