I have the IAM software and basically like it.  I have had problems learning to use it correctly.  At first my queries were answered very quickly.  Recently, over the last 2 months, I have asked 2 questiona and have received no response.

Is something wrong at IAM?  Ed Chiampi

Investment Account Manager. It has been around NAIC/Better-Investing, and Iclub for a long time. Thanks for asking. I'm sure many new members are unaware of it.

Is the Investment Account Manager the I-Club version of BI's Portfolio Manger? (both developed by Quant IX)

IAM is a version of the same software that QuantIX also sells through BI.  There are some differences in features.  Find out more at quantixsoftware.com.

Yes Joe, but what has happened to the support?  If I am a dolt for not understanding something, fine.  But I would like to have a response.  Ed Chiampi

I've tried another 2 times using the link you provided Dan.  No response.  I'm getting frustrated.  I can't figure why they won't respond.  Maybe my renewal is due, or some other thing I could fix, but I I am not satisfied with their lack of communication.

One of the messages was simply to notify them as an editor would, that on their report sheet they have a misspelled word.  Thought I was doing them a favor.

Hi Ed,

Actually, support for IAM can be found at techsupport@quantixsoftware.com.  The e-mail address previously given to you is incorrect as far as I know.  I suggest you make one more try at the address I've posted since I've found suppport from the Willms brothers on IAM to be very good and prompt as well.

Good luck.

Saul Seinberg...

Hi Ed:

Joe, Saul, Pam and Doug mentioned you were trying to contact us for support.  Not sure why you have not received our prior replies, but I have posted the last email I sent to you on June 2nd here in this forum since you must have missed this reply.  (maybe your junk mail filter blocked us out?).

I wasn't expecting that you might be trying to reach us here in this forum.  It would be best to use the techsupport@quantixsoftware.com or support@quantixsoftware.com email addresses to reach us directly.  Of course, you can always call as you have in the past: 262-241-3990.  We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the email mishaps...

Best regards, and thanks again for your testimony on using IAM.  You'll be pleased to know we've posted your comments on our now-live redesigned site.  If you want to take a look, the site url is www.investmentaccountmanager.com.

Regards,

Matt Willms, President, QUANT IX SOFTWARE, Inc.

Hi Ed:

Looks as if when you imported the OFX files, you did not identify the offset for the money market deposit of the sale proceeds.  In the OFX, prior to getting the activity, there is a field where you can identify the MMF to use for offset.  Then once the transactions are shown, be sure to verify this is shown for the offset deposit.  That will correct the problem for you.

Let me know if you have other questions,

Matt

Finally!  I was getting frustrated.  Saul mentioned how impressed he was with your support as I was when we began contacting each other.  Since we had no problems getting together when I purchased IAM, MY PROBLEM in assuming that our interconnections were working properly must have been incorrect.  I apologize for getting to you through ICLUB, but I'm also happy that it worked.

I don't know why your permissions were removed from my email address book, but I had to re-enter them after seeing your post.  I switched security companies, and the new one seems as if it must be more likely to prohibit communications than my previous company.  I was used to having a notice pop up that someone wanted to get in touch, and now that I think of it, that has not happened in a while.

I'll be in touch as soon as I read your response to my problem and let you know how it helps.   Thanks to all who helped.

Ed Chiampi
