Help in changing TK6 & SA3 Preferences when opening up .SSG datafiles

To Whom It May Concern:
I prefer to use TK6 over SA3 when I download a .SSG datafile. However, whenever I download a .SSG datafile from StockCentral, it automatically opens using SA3.
How can I correct this minor problem? Is this something I can manipulate in the Preferences of either TK6 or SA3?
Or, am I stuck with this feature because SA3 was installed prior to my installing both TK5 and TK6.
Or, do I have to uninstall SA3?
Thanks for you support.

Nick,
Windows has an association that connects files with the .SSG extention with SA3. You need to change that to association to Toolkit.
One of the ways that you can do this is by downloading an SSG file and waiting for the Dialog Box to appear. If you have a choice, select the Open with radio button, and use the drop-down selector to select Toolkit. You probably will have to select Other and then browse for Toolkit. Make sure to check the box that says "Do this automatically."
If that doesn't work or you need additional help, drop ICLUBcentral's support department a note and they will walk you through the process.
Perhaps the easiest way to do this is to just type the ticker symbol into the the box in Toolkit and "Retrieve" the data. |

Thanks Joe.
I have another question that I will also ask I-Club:
The SSG Graph on SA3 appears on my screen horizontally across the complete screen. I prefer a more vertical look - like I currently have with TK6. Yet, I have not seen anything in the SA3 Options tabs that will allow me to re-adjust the SSG graph.
Any suggestions?
Thanks. I am enjoying my experience with Stock Central.

Hi there, I sent this post last night before Joe posted, but it must have gotten lost in cyber space. Hi Nick, The .ssg file is "associated" with SA. You need to change it to TK6. If you have Windows XP, do the following: Click on Start. Open Control Panel Open Folder Options Click on File Types Click on New and type in SSG At the bottom of that box, click on Change Find and click on Toolkit 6 in the browse window. Click OK. Should work fine now. -- Lynn Ostrem, Minneapolis garbagecop@gmail.com Join me at InvestEd 2009 August 7-9, Salt Lake City, UT www.investor-education2009.org
