I am unable to open any ssg data files from Stock Central.

I looked in the Windows file association list and  .ssg file extension is not listed.

My TOOLKIT 6  ssgs work fine.

Any suggestions ?

Are you downloading SSG files with Toolkit 6, or are you downloading them separately and then trying to open them

I start with STOCK CENTRAL>TOOLS>SCREENER>MORE INFORMATION>SSG
but It won't open the SSG into my TOOLKIT 6.Evidently I do not have a ".ssg" file extension
in my FILE ASSOCIATIONS file. And I do not know how to put one in.
My TOOLKIT 6 works fine but trying to download s SSG from its origins in STOCK CENTRAL does not work.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

With Toolkit 6, you need to go into preferences and select the StockCentral datafeed.  Enter your username and password, too -- the same ones you use to login here.  The instructions for Toolkit 5 in our FAQ section will work for Toolkit 6.

As for the association of SSG files with Toolkit, you can create a file association using Windows Explorer.  If you need help with this, let me know.

You need to associate the *.SSG extension with TK6 in Windows. The instructions will vary depending on the version of Windows you might be using, but right-click on the *.SSG file on your computer and select Open WIth..., then navigate to the Toolkit 6 *.exe file in your Program Files directory.
