2ND ANNUAL, BIGGER AND EVEN BETTER INVESTED 2008 SEEKS EARLY BIRD INVESTORS
Like sands through the hourglass, so too are the days 'til investors can no longer receive the lowest rates to register for InvestEd 2008. On May 1, 2008, the deeply-discounted rate of $369 (or $359 for StockCentral members) expires at the stroke of midnight -- tarry too long, and you'll pay much more to attend the event..
InvestEd is long-term investing education at its best, a national event created by and for investors who use computers and electronic communications. This year's conference will be produced in cosmopolitan Charlotte, North Carolina, August 8-10, 2008, at the Hilton Charlotte University Place Hotel.
The InvestEd 2008 program includes delights for all, from rank neophytes to financial wizards, and offers more than three-score (that's 60, for those keeping score) classes from which to choose.
TAX SEASON COMES TO A CLOSE
(Not Nearly Swiftly Enough for Us, Either)
After nearly six months of planning, engineering, sales, and support, ICLUBcentral's rank and file and management alike are united in this sentiment: tax season is almost over. But for those investment clubs who have yet to prepare their annual reportage to the Internal Revenue Service and various state tax agencies, there is still time to file.
ICLUBcentral's Club Tax Printer software makes mincemeat of the tedium of preparing mind-numbingly complex tax documents. Your investment club treasurer can accomplish the task of preparing these tax returns most expediently using the ICLUBcentral Club Federal Tax Printer and Club State Tax Printer.
The federal government's taxation specialists accept no excuses from investment clubs that do not file a partnership return, and are quick to levy penalties on clubs that ignore this mandate. Avoid the pain and regret of ongoing IRS headaches and make sure that your investment club files its returns before April 15th.
THERE ARE TWO Cs IN CONNECTICUT, AND HE ALWAYS PRONOUNCES THEM BOTH
New Englanders (both native-born and adopted) stand alerted: StockCentral founder Doug Gerlach is bringing his flair and knowledge to Groton, Connecticut for a day of investing education. The Yankee Chapter of BetterInvesting is conducting its free-to-attend annual meeting on Saturday, April 12, 2008 from 10:00 am until noon, open to the public at no charge. Investor Gerlach is presenting a keynote speech to cap off the official business in this free morning event. (Did we mention that there is no cost for this morning session?)
In the afternoon, Gerlach will offer grooming and training tips (of a sort) with his ever-popular "Dealing with the Dogs of your Portfolio" workshop. Gerlach's wisdom will be poured forth on the subject from 1:00 to 4:00 pm, but only for those who part with the nominal fee of $25 (which goes to support the chapter's investment education efforts).
Both morning and afternoon sessions are to be conducted at the Groton Library, 52 Newtown Road. The Yankee Chapter of BetterInvesting covers the states of Connecticut and Rhode Island, and welcomes attendees from all surrounding areas as well. Répondez s'il vous plaît to classes@yankee.betterinvesting.net to reserve your spot, or to inquire further about the particulars.
