What is the common solution to the message that pops up when updating the data from the home page of Toolkit 5? There are a couple of choices. Not sure, but I think I once heard someone say not to update all the companies in one's library. But I don't remember why they said that. Any opinions?
Thanks, Annie

To which message are you referring? The most common message is that the existing data is out of date, or there has been a split, or that Toolkit can't match the data that's in your database with what it download. That latter problem can occur if your data is from one data source and differs significantly from the StockCentral data. If that's what you are seeing, I'd recommend that you pick the option to overwrite your existing data entirely with the new data. I don't know of any reason that you shouldn't update every company. If there is a problem with a single company's data, you can skip that one, though, and update the others. Then you can go back and update that one. |

Joe: Thanks. That is basically what I have been doing. Its just, when I'm given a choice, I like to check and see what others might recommend. toolshed@stockcentral.com wrote: From the The Toolshed forum at StockCentral.com, Joseph Craig writes:
