Does anyone know how or where TSSW gets it % Growth Stat for Sales and ESP? Is it someone's guess or is it factual from somewhere? If it is factual then where can you get this info? Edited by user Friday, February 26, 2016 11:36:41 AM(UTC)

Hi,
Assuming you are looking at the Growth Stat% box, both the Stability and the Average, are reporting on the historical data. The Stability is a measure of how closely the actual reported Sales and EPS match up to the historical average, which itself is a measure of the Sales and EPS over the years. Each year adjusts the average up or down a bit, so the higher the stability, the more likely that the Sales or EPS will be roughly a straight line.
The forecast works from historical data, but uses it to estimate the future, instead of reporting on the past (posted) results.

Thanks for the info. I was wondering how that worked. Is there a formula that you can share? I was thinking of setting up a spreadsheet that I could use.

Hi,
My memory is that some of the formulas that make the predictions may be proprietary, but I'll ask a few folks at this end, and see what I can find.

Hello!
Apologies for the long delay in replying on this. I've been informed that the specific formula for the prediction is proprietary, but that " it's based on a weighting of the recent historical growth, and the removal of outliers from the long-term trend. "

Thanks for the updated information. I had another question. I was wanting to use some judgment in the worksheet with the earnings per share and PE and Potential Low Price and change the Future Sales and earnings forecast. Is there a way you can change the Forecast High PE and the Forecast Avg PE and Forecast High EPS and the Forecast High EPS for the Forecast Avg PE and the Potential Low Price and the forecast future sales and earnings to create different outcomes for the buy price? I know that there is a Judgement wizard and a Judgement Tab but it is not very user friendly. I was looking for something that was a little more user friendly and be able to save it to a file for further use. Edited by user Sunday, April 10, 2016 9:57:44 AM(UTC)
