Please forward a request for missing Q4 2013 financial data for Mosaic and to check for the possible incorrect designation of the years in the annual data set. It appears the annual data is offset by 1 year (i.e. 2013 annual data is labeled 2012).
Thank you.

No, I believe that it's correct as per our practices. The company's fiscal year ends on May 31, and we label any fiscal year ending May 31, 2013 as 2012 in the data. The company may label their year differently, but for the sake of consistency among all companies in our data service, we have always followed this practice.

Doug, Thanks for the reply. You hit on the reason for my confusion. I was unaware that Mosaic's fiscal year ended in May. The Stock Central data feed indicates it ends in Dec and their last fiscal year as 2012. I reviewed their 2013 10K and found that they announced a transition from a fiscal year ending in May to one ending in Dec (refer to page 1 mid page). Link to 10k: http://investors.mosaicc...&FID=22124861&O=3&OSID=9 The transition explains the reason for a missing quarter (2013 fiscal year was only 7 months). Is the Stock Central data consistent with Mosaic's transition to a year ending in Dec (e.g. last fiscal year indicated Dec 2012)? Duane

These kinds of company restructurings of financial statements happen so infrequently that we don't make any effort to program for them in any of our tools or manage them in the data. You'll have to work it out on your own based on your own research and understanding of the company. We're not just throwing it back at you, but there is no real consensus on how to display data in a case like this in a uniform way consistent with how other businesses are displayed; even if there were, you would still likely want to review the presented data and compare it to the company's published financial statements to gain a better understanding of what the changes were and their meaning to the company's long-term potential.
