THE “RETAIL INVESTOR CONFERENCE” EDITION 3 FEBRUARY 2011

THE ART AND SCIENCE OF P/E RATIO ANALYSIS
SC founder, Guru Doug Gerlach Leads February Session

It's happening right now. SC founder and all-around amazing guy Doug Gerlach is leading a session titled “The Art and Science of P/E Ratio Analysis” today as part of the ongoing online investor conference series, the Retail Investor Conference.

The weather outside has indeed been frightful for most of the United States — including Detroit, from which your intrepid reporter hails. But no matter. You can attend this ongoing, monthly conference from the comfort of your own home — in your pjs, if you must.

BetterInvesting, PR Newswire, and MUNCmedia have teamed up to present this monthly series of virtual investor conferences, featuring publicly-traded companies, company executives, and educational presentations. In his presentation, Doug will explain how you can use price/earnings ratios in your stock studies, including several different variations of this popular metric.

In addition, representatives of public companies will be on hand to offer presentations and be available in virtual "booths" to provide education about their business, financial history, and prospects. You can ask questions, and company executives and investor relations representatives can answer them in real time.

It's free to attend, but you must sign up in advance (if you hurry, you may still get in to Doug's session today). You need only register once for this ongoing monthly series. Sign up today, and we'll see you there!

On to more of this week's headlines . . .

LOTS MORE BANG FOR A LITTLE MORE BUCK
SC Subscribers Can Lock in at Current Rate!

Effective April 1, 2011, StockCentral will be increasing the annual subscription cost to $49.99. This is the first time that we have increased prices since the site was launched in 2006. Since that time, however, we have added many new features to the website, including:

  • Sector/Industry Averages Browser
  • Take Stock Wizard
  • Take Stock "Edit Judgment" Tool
  • Portfolio Tracker
  • Roster of Quality Companies
  • Investing Glossary
  • Calendar of Dividend Payment and Ex-Dividend Dates
  • Calendar of Stock Splits
  • SSG Datafile Improvements, including Take Stock EPS estimates and Quality Index, Analysts' Consensus Estimate EPS growth rates, and more current updates
The rich collection of tools available at StockCentral is still a great deal at $49.99 a year.

We will still offer multi-year subscription rates. Subscribe for two years and pay just $89.99. Take a three-year subscription and save even more, paying just $129.99. At some Internet websites you would pay that much for one month's worth of data and tools equivalent to the StockCentral offering.

In return, you'll receive access to our suite of stock investing tools that are unique to StockCentral such as the StockScreener, the Sector/Industry Average Browser, the Company Ratio Analyzer, the Roster of Quality Companies, and the ever-popular Take Stock for instant stock analysis. You'll also receive our improved SSG data service for Toolkit 6, and discounts on the ICLUBcentral Club Tax Printer and annual subscriptions to the award-winning Investor Advisory Service newsletter.

Current subscribers may renew their subscriptions prior to March 30, 2011, and extend their subscription for one, two, or even three years at the current rates! Your renewal will add to your current subscription term, however long you choose to renew. Lock in the current rates and renew today.

If you haven't tried the robust collection of tools available at StockCentral, sign up for a free no-obligation trial today!

THE IRS FINALLY COMES THROUGH
ICLUBcentral Club Tax Printers Released

The final partnership-related forms have been released by the Internal Revenue Service, and so ICLUBcentral is able to finally release the 2010 Federal Club Tax Printers.

Those savvy club treasurers who have pre-ordered the program are able to immediately download the 2010 Club Federal Tax Printer program from the ICLUB.com website. The factory has begun the process of manufacturing the CD edition; stand by for updates on when those will ship.

Users of myICLUB.com who have pre-ordered that edition should log into their club web site and click on the Taxes tab, where they should find their Club Tax Printers activated.

Club Accounting 3.2 Tax Printers can still be ordered at Early Bird Pricing as an online download or as a pressed CD.

The staff of ICLUBcentral appreciates your patience as we have awaited the IRS's release of the last of the forms.

TODAY'S ENTIRELY RELEVANT QUOTATION

"The early going looks good, despite the multiple snowstorms. It's encouraging, and you're seeing other economic signs that things are turning around."
— Ken Perkins, president of RetailMetrics LLC, a retail research firm, responding to reports from U.S. retailers that January saw solid revenue gains, despite fears that snowstorms had chilled sales.
