I am trying to find a book on suggested steps for a new treasurer to perform on the Web based accounting software to insure an easy transition between treasurers.  I had such a book with the old software on diskette but it was handed over to a new treasurer long ago and has been lost.  I could write out the steps but I think it would carry more weight if I had a book to pass on.  I want the new treasurer to have a guidline about such things as when do I do the club valuation, how should I handle deposits, other procedure question like that.  Is there a book or power point going throug a step by step guideline for a new treasurer?

Not quite sure if this is what you're looking for, but there is a Club Treasurer's Monthly Checklist downloadable at http://biwiki.editme.com/ClubTreasurers (click on that phrase on that web page).

Also, the Club Accounting Online manual has a list of monthly tasks starting on pages 3 and 4. You can download this manual at http://www.iclub.com/support/NOCAsupport.asp .

Thanks: 3 times
Was thanked: 11 time(s) in 11 post(s)

Two things I can add to this:

If you're interested in a printed manual, a copy of the myiclub.com manual can also be purchased from our web site at:

https://www.iclub.com/store/clubaccountingonlinemanual.aspx

Also, one of my early KB Note postings was about changing or adding treasurers. The first half of the note deals with the desktop accounting, but take a look about half way down the page at the following link, for some steps on setting up a new treasurer on a myiclub.com site:

Bettie,

I also did a series on Expert Tips for Club Treasurers in the Join the Club! section of this website a while back. I was able to glean insights from best of the best in Club Accounting -- people who have been there, done that -- and are still doing it! So, that might prove useful.

Follow this link to access them:

Hope it's helpful.

Amy
