GAZETTE REPORTER (FINALLY) RETURNS FROM INVESTED

THIS REPORTER IS BACK, AND BACK BIG

It is a tanned, rested, and (as always) perspicacious Gazette Reporter addressing you today, dear readers. Yes, Don Henley's "Boys of Summer" have now gone, and this reporter took a much needed hiatus from the rigors of journalism to soak in the last gasps of the season.

(Speaking of last gasps, if the Boston Red Sox keep playing like St. Mary's School for Wayward Girls, this reporter is going on a destructive rampage that will make Sherman's march to the sea look like a Girl Scout picnic.)

But enough of that. It is a delight to relate to you the good word on last month's InvestEd 2007 event, held at the picturesque Costa Mesa Hilton. To put it bluntly, the event was a complete and utter success, rivaled only by the Charge of the Light Brigade and The Beatles' White Album for sheer victorious brilliance.

As this reporter milled about the crowded classrooms and booth areas (incognito, naturally), there was a tangible buzz, an almost palpable energy that rose up like a gathering storm as if to claim InvestEd as the still point of the turning world.

And of course it was, at least for individual investors -- the best teachers, the best classes, the best sponsors, the best support, and even the best food.

It was not surprising then that over half of the attendees pre-registered for 2008's iteration, to be held in Charlotte, NC (August 8-10). You can join them by downloading the 2008 registration form and taking advantage of the Early-Bird rate.

For more information on InvestEd 2008, visit the official site.

FREE CLUB TAX PRINTER SOFTWARE

EXCLUSIVE DISCOUNT FOR STOCKCENTRAL MEMBERS

Last year, many of you joined StockCentral at its genesis in order to get the preferred rate on Club Tax Printer software for your investment clubs. A 30% discount was nothing to sneeze at.

Of course, a 100% discount is pretty good as well.

And that's exactly what ICLUB is offering StockCentral members -- if your investment club has five or more paying members of StockCentral, you'll get the Federal Tax Printer software, gratis. (For the uninitiated, that means it's free.)

What's more, if your club has 10 or more members on StockCentral, you'll receive State Tax Printer software, too.

How do you take advantage of this golden goose of an offer, you ask? Simply download the Offer Form and follow the instructions. Feel free to contact the ICLUB Support Team with any questions.

KNOWLEDGE IS GOOD

STOCKCENTRAL RELEASES LEARNING LIBRARY

ICLUB has always been a veritable Biblioteca Alexandrina when it comes to educational resources, and now such helpful content will have a home at StockCentral.

Accessible under the Learn Tab at StockCentral.com, the new Learning Library is your destination for fundamental investing resources and documents (including reprints of the StockCentral Workshops you've come to know and love). You can easily download and print the files for your own reference, or repurpose them for your own educational endeavors.

Currently, you'll find several documents of note, including a PowerPoint by Ralph Seger, and a new Glossary of Investment terms edited by Doug Gerlach.

More documents will be added in the coming days and weeks.

Dear Gazette Reporter,

It might be a good idea for you to brush up your history regarding the Charge of the Light Brigade.

I think he can be forgiven -- he was still only in his knickers when it happened....

This reporter is not in the business of splitting hairs, but though a military disaster, the Charge of the Light Brigade significantly enhanced the heroic reputation of the British cavalry. If you've been reading the Gazette for any length of time, you'll know that this reporter is all about hollow victories and questionable decision-making.
