Well, I'm off to BINC!

My goal it to leave Columbus with 2 to 4 companies worthy of further study.

For those interested, Ellis Traub has been posting some very educational material over on i-club-list.  Perhaps I'll be able to get him to post over here and see if he can teach us a few things!

Cheers!
Joe

Joe,

Also keep us posted on the introduction of Stock Central at BINC!

Looking forward to seeing your post about your goal.

There was no "introduction of STOCKcentral.com at BINC. There was some informal networking.

As for my goal ... I'm interested in Genentech and Aqua America, mostly for non-investing reasons ...

And, having sat behind Ellis and listening to his "how I'm doing it these days" I'd say that any of the companies on the Roster of Quality Companies is a good start. Neither Genentech nor Aqua is on the roster ...

I was looking for a utility to round out my portfolio and looked at YORW (The York Water Company) and WTR (Aqua America Inc.)

- They're both cyclical.

- Both pay regular dividends (recently .128 for YORW and .145 for WTR)

Although both were buys according to my SSGs, I ended up choosing YORW because it gave me a better upside downside ratio and I could buy more shares with the funds I had available at the time.

Since I bought YORW, the stock price for each has gone up about $0.80.
