Annual Reports – I know that I should check them out but digging for the data then doing the calculations – Ouch! Yes, I want to make sure that Accounts Receivable are not growing faster than Sales. Also I’d better check to see that Inventories are inline with Sales. There are a couple more items we should check but… . Well thanks to Bob Adams with help from Jim Thomas from the BetterInvesting Puget Sound Chapter, checking Annual Report items is no longer a chore. In fact it is so easy that we can now bring up this useful information whenever we are considering a new equity and certainly whenever we perform our periodic Portfolio Maintenance tasks. Go directly to Bob’s Personal Web Site: http://bob-adams.home.comcast.net or if you would like a bit more hand holding, try the BetterInvesting Space Coast Chapter’s Educational website listing at http://www.naicspace.org...AnnualReportAnalysis.pdf for an instructive PDF file. Lastly, thanks to BetterInvesting for maintaining the Expanded Fields data on their Standard & Poor Stock Data Service. Plus I’ll just bet that we’ll find an Expanded Data Field addition to STOCKcentral’s Hemscott feed someday soon that will also support this fine workbook. |

Don't forget all you fellow StockCentral members, the Hess / Schneider annual report analysis has always been declared by us both as freeware. It is not copyrighted and StockCentral can use it and post my studies of dozens of stocks on a StockCentral website just like I do on Lowell Herr's website regularly when I update it with a few stocks. Now have well over 100 on it right now. Until StocCentral decides to use it, go to www.bivio.com/bullrun/files/annualreports and then click on PaulAnnualReport latest copy and that will take you to the output page where you can scroll horizontally and vertically to look at many stocks all arranged in alphabetical order. It recently had more stocks updated like Cognizant CTSH, Genlyte GLYT, Coach COH, Garmin GRMN, Fedex FDX, Starbucks SBUX, Lowes LOW, etc. etc. And I did it all for you so you do not havet to know anything about Excel.
We are willing to park it free on a StockCentral site, just let us know Management! But it must remain freeware.

Paul,
We'd be happy to make your analyzer available here. If you're comfortable having it available on a subscription site, please forward it to me. |
