Thanks,

Hi Sheila,

Toolkit 5 will run on Vista. The only issue comes in when you attempt to download SSG's directly within the program. Vista's User Access control function will not allow the program to download SSG's automatically. In order to download SSG's you will need to turn off Vista's User Access Control. Please let us know if you run into any other issues or have questions, thanks!

Dave

Am I correct in assuming you will eventually be able to allow the downloading of SC data when using Vista/TK without disabling User Access Control.?  This seems like it may open up a security hole Vista was intended to correct.  I suspect the problem is somewhere with Stock Central since SDS does not require disabling UAC to function properly.

Hi,

After additional testing we find that tk5 functions properly under Vista with UAC turned on. In our tests here we have the ability to download price and company data information from either data source without Vista UAC intervention.

If anyone has information or an experience contrary to our results please let us know, thanks!
