Has anyone else had their messages go 'poof!' ?

I've had at least 3 go by the wayside - the latest was a post in 'frustrating day in the forums' in reply to Lynn Ostrem.

I explained that the images looked fine to me, and that the issue might be her display resolution (I"m running 1024x768 on a 17" monitor.

I also asked if anyone had found a use for the blue frame to the left of the forums, and whether we should remove this from the pages so that there is more room for the posts themselves.

The message, I suppose, could've been lost during transfer to the new site - but I know for sure that it showed up on the old site (jncraig).

I would suggest that we add a 'last unread post' link to the forums, if possible, so that one can go to where the left off reading easily when the forum starts to get long in the tooth.

Also - Joe - can you advise whether the current - www.stockcentral.com - will be the final resting place - specifically - is this the 'performace' that we should expect?  It's still very slow and buggy.  Posting this took two tries as well.

Anyway - for Joe - I repost my cartoon

I guess it was a really frustrating day then.

Also - is there an 'edit post' button that I'm missing?  I'd like to be able to edit posts after I submit them.   I hate it when I have a mispeling misspelling or grammer grammar issue

Thanks for the fix, Joe

The blue frame -- you'll let me know, I'm sure.  Right now I'm using it for announcements.

Messages disappearing -- on the other site.  But I found only one message there from yesterday afternoon slightly after 2 pm.

I'll look into "last unread" ...  but under My Profile there is a check box where you can select to see newest posts first.  If you combine that with "Not Read" perhaps that will help.

Yes, this the the final home.  No, this isn't necessarily the final performance.  I haven't started on that process yet.  But ... do you think that this site is faster than the old one?

It seems faster to me and at least I'm not getting logged out constantl.  However the loading of all those emoticons takes a lot of time and I'm on broadband.  Do we really need that many?

I'll see about limiting them. It's tied to the "which editor" issue, too.
