First I would like to say THANK YOU for providing your wonderful services.

My question deals with being able to connect a ticker with an industry.  I have not found a way to list all the companies in one of the many particular industries you have listed in the 'Advance Search" link.  Is there something I am missing or could this be added in the future simular to Manifest Investing's.

Thanks,

Marty Eckerle

I think that this will give you the result you want:  Leave the ticker box blank, and use the drop-down list to select an industry.  Then click "Go."  All of the companies in that industry group will be listed.

This will work when the industry is known.  But take for instance, ITT.  Value Line categorizes this company to be in the Diversified Industry.  I have tried to guess what industry ITT is placed.  I must not be a good guesser.

I think that we need a little more research on this answer. I just checked the ITT report under data. It lists the industry as Diversified Machinery. There is no such industry. The industry for ITT in the drop-down list is Industrial Machinery. Maybe I was a better guesser then Martin.

Yes, based on your answer, we really do!

Diversified Machinery is the industry listed in the SSG file from the data feed.  Take Stock is using something else.  So ... we'll get to the bottom of this!

Is there a way to do a query in TS online that will give you companies that meet certain criterias such as a min quality index or min risk for example? Is this available in the desktop version?

No. Take Stock is strictly an analysis program.

But don't be surprised if you discover that we have other tools up our sleeves ...
