I looked at some company reports and I'm not familar with the sectors. I'm most familar with the S&P 10 sectors as described in the Global Industry Classification Standard, but I know different groups divide the stocks into different sectors. How many sectors are in this data base and where can I see a description of what each sector includes. I looked up SBUX and it listed Services and I looked up WAG and it was also Services.

The sectors are:
1 Basic Materials 2 Conglomerates 3 Consumer Goods 4 Financial 5 Healthcare 6 Industrial Goods 7 Services 8 Technology 9 Utilities
If you ever want to verify what company is in what sector, or what industries make up a sector according to Hemscott, here are resources:

Check in the FAQ on this site -- I posted a complete list of sectors and their industry groups.
